Central Laboratory of the University of Maragheh 

The Central Laboratory of the University of Maragheh serves as a key infrastructure for research and technology, playing a pivotal role in advancing academic and industrial research. Equipped with state‑of‑the‑art instruments and a skilled technical team, the center provides a safe and dynamic environment for fundamental and applied research in basic sciences, agriculture, biotechnology, and engineering.

The Central Laboratory is managed by  Dr. Ahmad Aghaei , Head of the Central Laboratory and a faculty member of the Faculty of Basic Sciences at the University of Maragheh. The team of expert specialists, with their high technical knowledge and unwavering commitment, consistently strive to deliver quality services and support for research projects.

The Central Laboratory is equipped with a collection of cutting‑edge analytical and research instruments, enabling a wide range of projects. Key equipment includes:

- Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS)  – Agilent 5977A (USA) for identification and analysis of volatile organic compounds
- High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)  – Knauer Smartline (Germany) for separation and analysis of compounds in liquid samples
- Fourier‑Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT‑IR)  – Perkin Elmer Spectrum Two (USA) for structural determination of organic and inorganic compounds
- UV‑Vis Spectrophotometers  – Analytic Jena Specord 210 Plus and Shimadzu UV‑1800 for concentration measurement at various wavelengths
- Chlorophyll Fluorometers (PAM‑2500 and MINI‑PAM‑II)  – Walz (Germany) for photosynthesis performance analysis
- Bioreactor/Fermentor  – FS‑01‑A05B (Taiwan) for cell and microbial cultures

The Central Laboratory has joined the  Scientific Laboratories Network of Iran (SHA’A)  and the  Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network , taking an important step toward scientific synergy, utilization of national facilities, and providing services to researchers across the country.  📚 Specialized Training, Safety, and Standardization Courses
The Central Laboratory organizes specialized training courses in  Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)  for faculty members, experts, and students, effectively enhancing laboratory safety and standardization. Workshops on  test method standardization  and  quality management  are also prioritized to keep users’ technical knowledge and practical skills up to date.

⚡ High‑Performance Computing (HPC) Center
The Central Laboratory has established a  High‑Performance Computing (HPC) Center , providing a powerful platform for complex simulations, big data processing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Equipped with powerful processing servers, this center enables researchers to perform heavy and time‑consuming computations with high speed and accuracy.
